Are you open year-round?

We are a seasonal venue hosting weddings starting in May through the end of October.

Can we tour the property?

Yes, in fact we encourage you to contact us to set up an appointment to see the property and venue in person.

What are the grounds?

The grounds include the main barn, bridal barn, and the 77 acres for your use on the day of your wedding.

Do you have a bridal suite?

Yes, we have a bridal barn that houses our bridal suite and groom’s suite. The suites are yours to use for the day. You can choose to get ready in the suites if you like or you can use them as relaxation areas prior to the start of your wedding.

Do you host more than one event or reception at a time?

We do not host more than one event on the property at a time.

Is the barn air conditioned?

The location of the barn in the valley allows for a nice breeze that helps circulate air through the building. We also have sixteen ceiling fans to help move air in the barn and multiple commercial size floor fans that we can set up to circulate air in the case that the barn needs additional cooling prior to the start of your wedding.

Do you offer lodging?

No, we do not offer any lodging onsite. There are numerous options available in the towns of Ticonderoga and Hague including, hotels, motels, B&B’s, house rentals. Please see our vendor list for recommendations.

Is there a minimum rental time?

The Barn rental is for the day, so there is not a minimum number of hours that you must rent the venue for.

Is the rental fee a charge per person?

No, we charge a daily rate for the venue and grounds whether you have 25 guests or 200.

On the weekend do you have different rates for different types of events?

No, on the weekends we charge the same daily rate for your event regardless if it is a wedding, family reunion, rehearsal dinner, etc.

What is the maximum number of guests we can have at our event?

The maximum number of guests allowed is 225.

Do you have an area to park cars?

Yes, we have a parking area near the barn that can accommodate 100 plus cars. We also have a drop off area for cars, shuttles, limos, etc. to drop off guests in close proximity to the barn entrance.

Does the barn rental come with tables and chairs?

Yes, we have twenty-five 10ft farm tables and wooden X-back chairs for your use. We also have 8 whiskey barrel high-top tables that are great for use during cocktail hour.

Do you have ceremony seating?

Yes, we have wooden folding chairs for seating at your ceremony.

Can we have the ceremony on the property?

Yes, in fact we encourage it! You can choose anywhere on the property that is easily accessible for your guests to access to hold your ceremony. We do have two main locations with great views that are most conveniently located near the barn.

Where can we have the ceremony if it rains?

In the event of rain you can hold your ceremony inside the barn or under the covered patio.

Can we decorate the barn?

Yes, we encourage you to put your own personal decorating touch on your event. You may begin decorating the barn at 11:00am on the day of your wedding unless prior permission has been granted from the management at The Barn at Lord Howe Valley.

Do you have a vendor list?

Yes, we have a vendor list that we can provide to help with the planning of your event.

Are we able to hold a rehearsal at The Barn?

Yes, you will be given a time a day or two prior to your event to hold your ceremony rehearsal.

Are linens, plates, silverware, glassware provided?

To showcase the natural beauty of the farm tables we do not provide linens. We find many couples prefer to bring their own table runners. Plates, silverware, and glassware are not provided and typically can be provided by your caterer or another vendor on our list.

Will there be anyone to help with day of coordination?

Yes, there will be a staff member present on the day of your wedding to help make your wedding day seamless.

I just started planning my wedding and I am overwhelmed with the process, do you provide any help?

Yes, The Barn at Lord Howe Valley can provide different levels of wedding planning leading up to your wedding day based on your preferences.
